Distinguished Eagle Scout Award
The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (DESA) is the National Eagle Scout Association’s (NESA) highest honor for Eagle Scouts. NESA established this award in 1969 to recognize Eagle Scouts who achieve extraordinary national-level recognition, fame, or eminence within their profession or service to the nation and have a strong record of voluntary service to their community.
NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award
The National Eagle Scout Association established the Outstanding Eagle Scout Award during the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America in 2010. Popularly known by its acronym, “NOESA,” the award recognizes Eagle Scouts as notable for their local, state, regional, or national distinguished service.
Silver Antelope Award
The Silver Antelope Award, created in 1942, is the Council Service Territory-level distinguished service award of Scouting America. Recipients of this award are registered Scouters of exceptional character in their service territory.
Silver Beaver Award
The Silver Beaver is the highest honor that a local council can bestow upon a volunteer and is among the most prestigious awards in Scouting. Since 1931, the award has been a means for council-level recognition of Scouters who have provided distinguished service to youth.
Living Legends of Tidewater Council
The Living Legends Award was established by the Tidewater Council executive board in 1998 to recognize local volunteers for their enduring contributions to Scouting. Living Legends recipients continue to provide significant leadership, service, and support to Scouting over many years and in many roles.
Eagle Honorees
Tidewater Council established the Eagle Honoree recognition to celebrate distinguished community leaders who earned the rank of Eagle Scout and exemplify the values of Scouting. Beginning with the Eagle Class of 2019, an annual Eagle Honoree has been chosen to deliver a keynote address at the Council Banquet to inspire the next generation of Eagle Scouts.
