Standing District Meetings
- District Committee Meeting: 6:30 PM on the first Thursday of every other month
- District Commissioner Meeting: 7:30 PM on the first Thursday of every other month
- Cub Scout Roundtable: 7:15 PM on the second Tuesday of each month
- Scouts BSA Roundtable: 7:15 PM on the second Tuesday of each month
Meetings take place at Haygood United Methodist Church, 4713 Haygood Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23455. Contact Wes Sherman at 757-524-0022 or William.Sherman@scouting.org for details of upcoming meetings or to get involved in Bayside distrcit.

District Advancement
Advancement Board of Review and Project Approval Contacts
- Eagle project proposals must be approved in advance by the members of the District Advancement Committee at the monthly meeting scheduled for the first Saturday of the month at the Mary Jayne Breeden Council Service Center. The Scouts are to request an appointment for a time slot. Please contact the District Advancement Chair and include their unit leader in an email.
*If the Saturday meeting cannot be made, please contact Peter Mack to arrange an alternate appointment. Following all safeguarding youth policies, Scouts can contact Peter Mack by phone or email to set an appointment for the project proposal presentation. All safeguarding youth requirements must be followed, including adult supervision requirements and no one-on-one contact. - Eagle Boards of Review: District Advancement Committee members sit on the Eagle Scout Boards of Review.
- Venturing service projects are not approved in advance by the district. The Venturing Summit Board of Review Chair must complete Venturing Awards and Recognition training.
- Quartermaster (QM) service projects must be approved in advance by a District Advancement Committee member. District Advancement Committee members sit on the Quartermaster Boards of Review.
