The Tidewater Council Wood Badge Association exists to assist in providing the Tidewater Council, Boy Scouts of America with highly trained and experienced Scouters, that are focused on bringing the mission of Scouting to all youth. The purpose of Wood Badge is to develop skilled leaders who can strengthen Scouting units in achieving the mission of the Boy Scouts of America. When we seek to accomplish the mission of Scouting, it is done at the unit level. Therefore, the purpose of Wood Badge is to strengthen units.

April 19, 2020, 2 PM. The first meeting of the Tidewater Council Wood Badge Association was held via Zoom. There were 37 Wood Badgers and two council staff in attendance. Congratulations to the following inaugural Association officers who were elected: Wayne Page (Scoutmaster), James Carroll (Assistant Scoutmaster), Brittany Szkaradnik (Senior Patrol Leader), Mark Clemente (Quartermaster) and Kate Sklat (Scribe).
