Creation of opportunities, here and abroad, for Tidewater Scouts to meet, interact with, and build lasting worldwide friendships with peoples from and Scouts across the world.
MISSION
To promote, organize, and keep Tidewater Council Scouts informed of International Scouting opportunities.
STRATEGIC PRIORITIES
- Creating foundational knowledge of the World Organization of the Scouting Movement for Scouts and leaders in Tidewater Council to be informed of the International Scouting Program
- Establishment of relationship with NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) to promote participation in local Scouting by children and parents of foreign exchange officers
- Promotion of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, an internationally recognized award, to Tidewater Scouts
- Organization and fielding of a Tidewater Scout Contingent to the 25th World Scout Jamboree to be held in South Korea in 2023
- Promotion and presentation of Citizenship in the World Merit Badge
- Promotion of the International Spirit Award
