World Scout Jamboree
The 25th World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) will be held in SaeManGeum, South Korea in 2023. The United States will send a contingent to the WSJ. Jamboree participants are eligible Scouts age 14 to 17 as of the first day of the Jamboree. The BSA plans to send a contingent of 790 participants, leaders, International Service Team members, and Contingent Management Team members. World Scout Moot
The 17th World Scout Moot will be held in Portugal in 2025. The Moot is an international Scouting event for Rovers, young adults ages 18-25 years old.
“Moot” is an old English word for a regular gathering of people with a common interest. The Moot features a trails and basecamp program where participants are allowed to choose their trail program. Stay tuned for more information from BSA and Scouts Portugal!
JOTA – JOTI Jamboree
The “Jamboree on the Air – Jamboree on the Internet” (JOTA-JOTI) is the largest global Scouting event, attracting thousands of Scouts of all ages to connect on the internet or short wave radio. Recent JOTA-JOTI events have included live broadcasts from Kandersteg, Switzerland, Scout-led talent shows, and training for adults. JOTA-JOTI is held the third weekend of October each year. Kandersteg International Scout Centre, Switzerland
Founded in 1923, Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC) is known as the “Permanent Mini-Jamboree.” This beautiful camp in the Swiss Alps provides high adventure experiences, along with an opportunity to meet Scouts from around the world. Founded by Lord Baden-Powell, the camp offers a wide range of hiking, climbing, and other adventures, as well as time for campfires, meals, and fun with other international Scouts. KISC is open 365 a year and is staffed by Scouts from around the world. For information on taking your unit to Kandersteg, visit www.kisc.ch.
