The Pinewood Derby® is an annual event for Cub Scouts. Cub Scouts build wooden cars with their families and race them down a gravity-driven track. The Pinewood Derby promotes character development through sportsmanship. Cub Scouts also are encouraged to be creative, take pride in their work, and learn STEM principles including mechanics, physics, and engineering. Plus, the Pinewood Derby is fun for the whole family!

Cub Scouts race their cars in pack races – check with your pack for details. Winners are eligible to move on to district derbies. District derby winners can race for the championship at the Council Pinewood Derby.
